The singer Rosalía has won Spain's National Prize for Current Music for 2026, the Ministry of Culture announced on Wednesday after the jury met. The award comes with €30,000.1
The jury gave her the prize for the artistic importance of LUX, her 2025 album, which it described as “an ambitious, innovative and transformative musical proposal” that has reached “unanimous recognition from critics and the public”.1
A record made with an orchestra
LUX is Rosalía's fourth studio album. It was recorded with the London Symphony Orchestra and features guests including Silvia Pérez Cruz, Carminho, Björk and Estrella Morente.
