The Museo Nacional del Prado and the city of Gijón/Xixón will present “Ventanas al Prado” on Thursday evening, a project that turns the window openings of the historic Tabacalera building into a display of the museum's collection.1

The installation brings together 29 backlit reproductions of masterpieces by artists including Albrecht Dürer, El Greco, Peter Paul Rubens, Diego Velázquez and Francisco de Goya. The presentation starts at 20:30 and is open to the public, with lighting and live music.1

The works will stay in the windows until January 2027, so they can be seen from the street at any time of day.1
